I’m going to be honest. I do not like exercising. Basically, I have not found an exercise discipline that I truly enjoy. The opposite can be said about fitness motivator, Maya .
I haven’t seen an individual ENJOY the process of planning and preparing for a fitness class, teaching the class and enjoy seeing the positive results from her students.
On a daily basis, she teaches one to two (90-minute) indoor cycling classes and sometimes three! Maya still finds the time to take other fitness classes around town to continue learning about the body and how different parts of the body work based on what you require it to do (e.g. stretching, lifting weights or running). She is more motivated about fitness after recently earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. She continues to be a life long learner, researching and actively participating in the advantages of fitness and how it helps to keep people healthy both physically and mentally.
Maya’s love for fitness began as a child. She was a gymnast briefly, but it wasn’t until she discovered competitive cheer when it became a way of life for her. Cheer was a combination of her two loves, performing in front of an audience and fitness.
If you are in California and looking for a challenging yet fun indoor cycling class, consider taking one with Maya at SparkCycle in La Jolla, CA.
